There is intention in the design everywhere you look. The buildings are milled from driftwood, and The Hive, the resort's central hub, is a genuinely comfortable place to sit with sweeping views over the inlet, catch up on email, and do very little.
It rests on top of the dive centre, and the dive centre is the tell. Enormous hanging space for wetsuits, outdoor showers stocked with reef-safe products, and a camera room built for large rigs. Nobody runs back to their room to rinse. You come off the boat, hand over your gear, and go and get a massage or a second breakfast. They serve a light one before the first dive and a full one after it.
The staff are the difference. Warm, capable and consistent, and the place feels cared for rather than managed. Boats run on time. Nothing about the day feels careless.
